UK & EU Road Freight Operations Manager

Our client based in Basildon, Essex is looking for an experienced UK & EU Road Freight Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will be hands on when needed but have the experience and ability to look at the bigger picture and use their analytical skills to improve and manage the overall operations. You will be responsible for managing and developing the Basildon Transport team, whilst providing support to other branches with regards to guidance on fleet management and supplier relationships.

• Proven experience in UK & EU Road Freight Transport Management – 3-5 years with strong and detailed knowledge of transport regulations and compliance. CPC qualification is preferred.
• The ability to listen to others, seeks to understand different perspectives and shows respect for views different from their own.
• Clear communications and customer service skills, with the ability to influence others.
• To lead by example, encouraging and coaching others to communicate effectively.
• Ability to present arguments in a grammatically correct and easily understood way.
